Will's sources were right. The Penguin was in town, and Will's blood was literally boiling at the thought of it. The criminal had gone off the radar about a year after Jason Todd, Will's father, had died, and Will hadn't been able to find him ever again. Now he was back, presumably still dealing in weapons and anything else he could get his clammy hands on. The truth though, was that Will wasn't bothered about what it was that Penguin was doing in Gotham there and then. He was bothered about what he was doing 9 years ago, when Jason got killed trying to stop him.
He was shot by one of Penguin's bodyguards, while trying to stop the latest shipment that Cobblepot was bringing in. Jason had told his son it was only a flesh wound, something that he could easily handle himself. The wound got worst. Eventually, Jason couldn't even get out of bed, and soon died, the wound infected. The bodyguard was in Blackgate, out of Will's reach, but it was Cobblepot that Will blamed for his father's death. He was behind the entire operation, and he deserved the blame. That's why he wanted the Penguin, so he could get some vengeance.
Will glided into Penguin's adopted compound, a large shining building, with a fenced off area around it. Within there were 3 warehouses where all of Penguin's assorted trade was held, and the entire area was heavily guarded by hired thugs, the best you could find in Gotham. He landed with a thud beside one of the large warehouse, pressing himself against the side of it. A thug stepped around the corner, machine gun in hand, and Will reached out and threw the thug to the ground before he even noticed what was going on. He stamped a foot into the man's throat, before slamming the heel into the criminal's face. After a moment of coughing and splurting, he passed out in pain. Brutal, yet effective. Will turned and stared up at the building, eyeing the penthouse at the top of the building, undoubtedly where Penguin would be. He knew that this'd feel good for him. He'd get his revenge.

Elena surveyed the building quickly before deciding the air, much to her displeasure, would be one of the best ways in. The ground was loitered with body guards and the ruckus would immediately reach the Penguin. What Elena was wondering though was why the Penguin suddenly resurfaced, he hadn’t been seen in nine years and now he was back like the disappearance never happened? Shaking her head Elena opened up her cape the wings coming out of her side as temporary gliders. Elena had a fear of heights but if there was one thing she knew was that she couldn’t be Batwoman with fear, she couldn’t allow herself to be afraid.
Inhaling a sharp breath Elena jumped off the building closing her eyes and allowing herself to glide by memory only. It was easy there was little arm movement but still her stomach was tense knowing that it was falling in mid-air. Her landing was less that graceful she landed on the rooftop of the warehouse with a light thud. She waited to see if anyone heard or saw her land, below her she noticed someone come around the corner with a machine gun, when she went to take care of the problem herself she saw a figure emerge from the shadows and take care of the man. Elena didn’t notice the man there though his dark clothes were recognizable she could recall it instantly cause of her mom’s many articles about the original one.
“Batman” Elena said to herself as she stood to get a better view of the fight. She winced with Batman stepped on the man’s throat making him pass out painfully. This Batman’s ways of fighting were very brutal and to be honest Elena wasn’t sure how she felt about it. She dealt with criminals in and outside the cape and even then she only used the amount of force that was needed for that person. Shaking her head Elena jumped off the warehouse roof landing a few steps away from the Dark Knight. “You know I love a tall dark and mysterious man but is there a reason why you’re here?” Elena asked smirking a bit her lips red with lipstick.

Will kicked the machine gun away from the unconscious thug, and pulled out a set of handcuffs, locking them around his wrists. Finished, he turned back to look at the building, when he heard somebody land on the ground. He immediately span around, pulling out a batarang ready to throw and prepared himself. Instead of seeing another criminal, he instead saw the figure of a beautiful young woman, with red flowing hair and lushious red lipstick, dressed in a costume similar to his.
“You know I love a tall dark and mysterious man but is there a reason why you’re here?” she smirked, which nearly raised a smile on Will's face too.
"Batwoman, right? Seeing somebody quite so amazingly beautiful here is rather shocking considering our host. I'm here on business. And you?" Will replied cryptically.
He knew that the hero community would frown on the fact he was here to try and kill the Penguin, or at least make him pay, and so he decided not bringing it up was the best method. Getting the entire hero community against you because you killed a man isn't what he wanted, even if Penguin was guilty. This way, he could pretend it was an accident or somebody else. He knew how to cover his tracks.

‘Smooth’ Elena thought in her mind smirking at the compliments that Batman was giving her. He didn’t seem to care about Batman’s supposedly cold personality or maybe he just saved that for the villains he would fight every night.
“Just business, I’m interested to see what caused the Penguin to come out of hiding all these years” Elena said more seriously. She knew that there was a crime war going on a currently crime was winning what happened with the Teen Titans was evidence of that. That just meant more work for Elena as both Batwoman and GPD; though with the latter her hands got more and more tied with the more evil problems she had to face. Though Elena knew that it was always darkest before the dawn, she could only hope that things would get better eventually.
Footsteps approached the duo probably another henchman patrolling or looking for the one Batman just knocked out. “I got this one” She told Batman before lunging at the henchman who just turned the corner. She used his shoulders to hold herself up and help bring her knee up to the meet his chin. There was a sickening sound; Elena definitely broke his jaw though her fist hitting his face knocked him out cold. She doubted that Batman would mind the amount of force she used on the henchman since it wasn’t as bad as what he had done. Batwoman kicked the gun away from the man it skidded till it disappeared into the shadows before she turned to face Batman.

“Just business, I’m interested to see what caused the Penguin to come out of hiding all these years” Batwoman informed Will, and he nodded. Everybody seemed to have a lot of interest in the Penguin.
He heard more footsteps from around the corner, and she seemed to as well. He raised the batarang intended for again and aimed it at the corner, ready to throw. This wasn't going to be easy, to break into a heavily guarded compound, and he knew it was going to be a tough fight, but he wasn't going to give up. They could keep coming at him and he'd just push them back. He was about to throw the batarang as he saw a foot appear around the edge of the warehouse, but Batwoman stopped him.
“I got this one” she said, as she ran up to the thug and took him down, a painful cracking noise resonating from the man's jaw. Will couldn't deny that he was impressed.
"Nice hit," he nodded in admiration, before getting back to business.
He stared up at the tall building once more, trying to evaluate the best route into the building. They'd be anticipating him to go in from the ground floor and the top floor, so they'd be the most well guarded areas, specifically the penthouse. If he entered somewhere in the middle, he imagined there'd be less resistance. He dragged the thug he'd taken down into the shadows and turned to Batwoman.
"So, I suppose as we're after the same thing we should stick together. I suggest we start on Floor 16," Will told her, nodding towards the building.

Batwoman looked up to the floor Batman was referring to, she internally cringed at the thought of heights but figured it was their best shot, it would probably be less populated with guards the biggest challenge would be getting up there though. Still Elena couldn’t help but wish there was some way else to get up there besides just flying through mid-air. Don’t be a baby not Lena, be brave you’re the goddamn Batwoman for Christ’s sakes! Elena mentally scolded herself before looking at Batman nodding once firmly.
“I suppose that is our best way up” Elena said motioning for Batman to lead the way, she couldn’t help but admire him a little. Maybe because he was wearing her father’s cowl keeping her father’s name alive since she couldn’t be Batman for obvious reasons or maybe because Elena felt that he was much braver than she was. Or it could have possibly been that she did love tall, dark and handsome men, or at least she thought Batman was handsome she had never met him without the mask…or had she?
Elena shook her head to rid herself of the thought she believed that if she met Batman in real life she would know about it. There was an aura about him that seemed distinctive from anyone else that she ever met and she liked to think she could pick it out with or without the cowl. When Batman started to move Batwoman shadowed him preparing to use her grappling hook from her utility belt to help her up the side of building hopefully she wouldn’t have a panic attack while she scaled the building with Batman.

“I suppose that is our best way up” Batwoman confirmed with Will, though looking slightly hesitant at the idea.
He looked over to her, slightly concerned but not showing it. She'd already proved she can handle herself in a fight, but if she was as nervous about the situation as she looked, maybe it wouldn't be the best idea to lead her into it. Will took out his grappling hook, and readied it, thinking over what he could say.
"You sure you're up for this?" Will asked, trying not to make it seem like he didn't have faith in her. He did, he just didn't want to push her too far.
He looked around the warehouse for anymore incoming goons, and quickly fired off the grappel, the line shooting up into the sky and smashing into the building, locking on. He looked over to Batwoman reassuringly, ready to move.
"Come on," he nodded, and began to reel in the line, pulling himself up into the sky.

“I’ll be fine” Batwoman answered firmly before shooting her grappling hook. She didn’t show it but her stomach was doing back flips and front flips, well all types of flips really. Elena exhaled silently but deeply before pressing a button on her grappling hook which pulled her swiftly through the air. Her cape rippled behind her through the wind in a swirl of black and red working together. When she reached the end of her rope she didn’t dare look down at how high she was up instead she focused her attention on Batman.
She waited for him to make a move first then she let her eyes move to the way they would make their forced entry. Elena made sure that she looked anywhere but down toward the ground, still she didn’t like being in mid-air she thought she would vomit any minute. It took every atom in her body to keep her from doing just that, the idea of throwing up in front of Batman was humiliating especially since he was flirting with her earlier.

The winch pulled Will up into the sky, his cape expanding out as he did into the bat-shaped it was designed to look like, and reached the side of the building. Gripping onto the side of the wall with the window frame, Will got to work. As Batwoman landed next to him, he pulled out a batarang and hit it into the lock of the window. He tried to remain as calm as possible, thinking methodically, and constantly trying not to think about the fact he was holding on with one hand.
He continued to hack at the lock until it gave in, and he pulled open the window, and rolled in, pulling in his grappling gun along with it. He rolled into what appeared to be some kind of office, and looked around, examining the area. A computer, filing cabinets, the place was full of sources for information. But, Will wasn't interested in any of it, and would rather just get down to business.
"Come on, we'll head to the elevator shaft and climb up from there. Keep your head low, so we can avoid getting outnumbered..." Will told her, as he went over to the door of the office to begin to pick it, eventually unlocking the wooden door, and opening it slightly.

Batwoman nodded more than willing to get off the side of the building and onto solid ground. She let Batman get in ahead of her letting him take charge of this little mission. She noticed him pick the lock on the wooden door before he pushed it open slightly, Elena pulled out a batarang just in case someone heard the door open or saw them. After a few tense minutes no one came toward them so luckily they weren’t spotted yet. Batwoman motioned with her head to Batman in a let’s go movement and she slipped past the door.
The room was dark and eerily quiet in the distance were footsteps of people walking the halls though they didn’t sound too close, or like there were many of them. From what she could tell Batwoman and Batman wouldn’t be too outnumbered on this floor though when they went higher obviously the guards would become greater in toughfulness and numbers. Knowing the Penguin he would only have the toughest of the toughest surrounding him though besides the weapons they carried with them, Elena didn’t see them as a challenge really.
Stopping to look where the next set of stairs or elevators were Elena turned to look at Batman figuring that he knew the layout of this place, Elena studied some of it though she only really memorized the maps of elevators and vents to do sneak attacks, she would need to check her gadgets for a view of the layout.

Will decided to let Batwoman take the lead as she walked on, glad that she didn't feel the urge to stop for information. It proved they were on similar wavelengths, and it was nice to see that Will had somebody like that, especially considering she was a beautiful redhead. She lead the pair into the hallway, before leaving it up to Will to find a staircase of elevator.
"Stick close," he ordered her as he tried to remember the layout of the building.
The actual corridors were like a maze, but the elevators and stairs were kept at either end of the building for safety reasons. He moved swiftly down the corridors, cape trailing, trying to keep the blueprints in mind as he went along. Finally he reached an elevator and the staircase. The elevator would be too obvious, and he could get up the stairs quicker with the grappling gun, so he went over to the door, opening it, to find a pair of guards walking down the stairs past the door. They didn't notice him, but immediately Will grabbed a hold of Batwoman as he pinned himself against the wall, putting a hand over her mouth until they were clear. He waited patiently, holding Batwoman close, until he heard them clear the floor below, and let go.
"Sorry, just taking precautions," he told her with a nod, and pulled out the grappling hook for the ascension up.

Batwoman was surprised to say the least when Batman pulled her close to him and covered her mouth though that surprise quickly left when two guards walked past them not noticing the two heroes that were dressed in dark colors, thanks to their costumes they blended perfectly into the shadows. When Batman removed his hand from her mouth giving her ability to speak back she was happy he did so and moved away from Batman slightly to let him take the lead once more. When Batwoman saw him pull out his grappling hook she was a little curious at what he had up his sleeve this time. In all of superhero history Elena had never heard of a time when the person wearing the Batman cowl was without a plan of some sorts.
“After you” Elena said motioning for Batman to take the lead once more, she wanted to observe him though she wanted to do her part in this little escapade as well. Though she was more than willing to let him hog the spot light, Elena didn’t care who saved the day as long as the day was saved, she hated unhappy endings; though the endings often were unhappy. Letting these thoughts leave her head Elena tried to focus on the task at hand, which was getting the Penguin.

“After you” Batwoman suggested as they looked at the stairway.
"If you insist," Will nodded, and fired off his grappel gun.
The grappel flew up the middle of the stairwell, straight to the ceiling, catching on to make a secure line. Will bounded onto the bannister and reeled in the line, pulling him up quickly to the top. He leapt onto the landing of the top floor and pulled the grappling hook loose. Easy. He swung around to face the doorway, only to find two men, armed with machine guns staring at him.
Before they did anything, he kicked the first one in the stomach, knocking them back. But, the second turned and opened fire, causing Will to have to dive for cover behind the stair rail, which only provided limited cover. That was probably his cover blown. The first thug had stood up again and was running for Will, who wasn't in the best mood after losing his cover. He grabbed the thug and threw him into the wall, Will applying pressure to the back of the thug's head to break his nose. Will swung around, staring at the other thug, gun aimed squarely at the bat-symbol on Will's chest.
"He's all yours, Batwoman."

Elena couldn’t help but admire Batman the way he moved and did his business was so professional and a bit bad ass if she might add. Maybe she was just beginning to be a little fan girl inside but then again she wasn’t entirely sure if she minded all that much. She followed him up the building with her own grappling hook by the time she was inside she saw Batman already fighting their cover clearly blown. When a man put the barrel of his gun to Batman’s chest it was he made it clear that it was her turn to intervene. Elena gave a hit to the back of the man’s neck which knocked him out, a trick taught to her by Oracle.
“Glad to see you haven’t forgotten about me” Elena said simply looking at the men on the floor most of them having broken limbs due to Batman’s fighting style. It was much bloodier than she would’ve done and wasn’t entirely sure if this was a good thing. Turning to the door she figured that was where the Penguin was hiding and Elena grabbed onto a bat-a-rang just in case she needed it, chances are they were prepared to shoot the bat symbol on the spot.

“Glad to see you haven’t forgotten about me” Batwoman commented as she knocked out the guard, and Will resisted smirking.
He noticed how she knocked out the guard, a lot less violently than he did, and he had to admit it was impressive to show that kind of restraint. Or maybe it was easy, and he was just out of control? Will preferred the former option in all honesty, and decided on that as he headed over to the door that lead to Penguin. He knelt down by the door, and began to search his utility belt, ready to spring up at the slightest sign of the door opening.
"Get yourself ready. We go in there hard and fast and take out his guards. Leave the Penguin to me, I've got some things to settle with him. Got it?" Will told her, as he finally pulled out a clump of explosive putty, ready with charge already.
Will stuck it to the door, planning to use it to take out and stun those on the otherside. He wasn't going to run into a hail of gunfire, and they're not exactly going to be expecting the door to explode. Or maybe they were, considering they were dealing with two Bats. This was the original Penguin after all, who was probably knew all too well at how much of a one-man army Batman was.
Will primed the explosive and took a few steps back, pulling out the detonator, and prepared himself to run right in, no matter what it was like. He turned and nodded towards Batwoman as he took a deep breath, and pressed the button, the door and part of the wall erupting into rubble. There was the yells and shouts of panic and the odd bit of gunfire as Will charged in, ready for a fight.
