Hal smiled a bit more as She giggled at his overreaction. She put Her hand on his arm, causing Hal to slightly tense up, and his cheeks to redden a bit. This was quite literally the first time anyone except his family, touched him. He actually kind of liked it, even though the moths came back. She brought up that she had been on many bad dates, which mad Hal start to worry a bit "What if my date is bad, I don't want to mess this up!""Didn't you do this on impulse""Yes!,but....I actually...kind of....like this girl."
Hal saw Her look at Her hand and pull it away, which causes Him to blush, as He rubs the back of His neck again. He notices as She looks out towards the sea, but can't help but to just look at her eyes, Again they seem to just entrance Hal. As She moves her eyes back towards Hal, it takes him a couple of seconds to pull his vision away from her's. She asks him what He was doing at the beach, which even stumps Hal for a second, "I believe I was just strolling along clearing my thoughts, but You kind of came and clouded them again." Hal couldn't believe He had just said that, Did He just flirt?. He just hoped he didn't come off as corny seeing as this was his first time talking to a girl who wasn't a family member, or teammate, and also first time talking to one....He liked.

Snow smiled at Harold once more as she looked at him as she waited for him to answer her question. When he did, she blushed heavily. She had distracted him? Really? That wasn't something that Snow was often told. Usually guys looked at girls behind her, or so she assumed. In Snow's mind she wasn't that pretty, when in all reality she was gorgeous. It was just the way that things were with Snow. She didn't have much of a self esteem, but then again, it didn't bother her that she didn't. She always told herself she couldn't do something, that way when she did, she felt triumphant and felt proud of herself for doing something she thought she couldn't do. Of course, if she failed, it wasn't that bad either seeing as she had already told herself she couldn't do it. It was just the way that Snow was and to be honest, she wouldn't change anything about herself, actually. Sure, she was strange, but she liked that about herself.
After a moment, Snow decided to reply to his comment. "Really? Well then, my plan is working after all," she said with a playful wink before she giggled a bit to show him that she was only teasing and messing with him. She hoped what she had just said made sense to him, if not she'd probably blush, stutter and sit herself back down on her towel, wanting to go crawl into a hole and die. To be honest, she was sure that she had just made a fool of herself. Nothing like putting your foot in your mouth while trying to flirt with someone, she thought to herself a bit bitterly as she looked at Harold, seeming unaffected by her attempt at flirting. She smiled at him a bit and tucked some of her hair behind her ear as she looked at him before she wondered if she should invite him to sit with her. Would that be too bold? Would it make him feel awkward? Perhaps she'd just stand there and talk to him...but...then everyone would be able to see how awkward the two of them were being... Dammit, she swore mentally.

Hal laughed a bit when She joked "Really? Well then, my plan is working after all" "Glad to be part of your plan." He smiled, hoping He said the right thing. Hal could see she had the same face, which caused Hal to chuckle a bit. He looked over at a passing ice cream vendor, "Perhaps I could get you a treat." He put up his finger "Be right back" He smiled, as He headed over towards the vendor.
"Don't trip, don't trip, don't trip, don't trip!" Hal thought as he trotted through the sand, He reached in his pocket and realized He only had enough for one "Perhaps I should bring more money when I go out...No Matter, I'll get one for her anyway. Hal asks the vendor for one vanilla, and heads back to Snow, trying his best not to trip. "Here you are, I probably should have asked you wanted, but I though vanilla, because It reminded me of snow, which is your name and...I'm rambling..Sorry" Hal felt like an idiot, rambling in front of someone He actually liked, and hoped He didn't just ruin everything.

A giggle escaped Snow's lips as he said that he was glad to be a part of her plan. She had to admit, she was kind of glad too. She tucked some of her hair behind her ear once again (this damn wind was killing her hair). She blinked a bit when Harold said that perhaps he should get her a treat and then said he'd return and walked off. Snow blinked rapidly, wondering what he was doing. Her eyes followed him as he arrived at the small ice cream cart. She giggled a bit and shook her head, wondering if he'd realize that he hadn't asked her what flavor of ice cream she'd want. She just stood there and waited for him to return to see what surprise flavor he'd have for her. After all, she wouldn't mind it whatever it was. Snow loved all flavors of ice cream. Snow never discriminated against ice cream flavors. It wasn't in her nature to hate any of the frozen treats.
Snow waited patiently for Harold to return and when he did, she smiled a bit before he returned and handed her the ice cream. She giggled a bit as he rambled and took the ice cream from him. "Thank you, and I love all flavors of ice cream, so you couldn't have gone wrong," she said before she began to eat at her ice cream. "Would you like to sit?" She asked, motioning to her beach blanket. They had been standing for what seemed like a while and Snow wanted to be a nice hostess, even if this wasn't her house anything. Snow still wanted to be nice especially because he was taking her on a date sometime and he had gotten her ice cream, which was really sweet of him. "And don't worry about rambling...I do it all the time," she said with a small, comforting smile in his direction.

Hal smiles as she thanks him for the ice cream. She asks to sit down, which causes him to redden. "Me, sit next to a girl, especially her?...." He thought to himself. "Um...S-Sure." This turned the moths in his stomach into monarchs. Hal sat down next to Snow, and tried to keep his hands in check, to prevent accidental brushing.
Suddenly, Hal's head starts hurting as He hears the voice of Ion shouting in his ear. He covers his ears, "No, NOT NOW!" He thinks as He tries his best to hide the fact an intergalactic entity is telepathically yelling at him. He smiles at Snow, as he hears Ion yell about incidents occurring around the world. Hal needed something to distract him, So He quickly puts his hand on Her's. Hal's thoughts quickly settle down, as He has a small sigh of relief. His eyes then widen as He realizes His hand is touching hers.

A bright smile formed on Snow's face as Harold blushed and agreed to sit down next to her. Snow plopped down on her beach towel, careful not to get sand in her ice cream. She continued to eat at said ice cream as she waited to him to sit down as well. She had to admit, she was growing to really like him. She couldn't deny that at times she did get butterflies and whatnot, but to be honest, she'd much rather not have to deal with them. They were a distraction, something that Snow wasn't quite used to. She was used to being on high alert at all times and to be honest, she loved being able to do things and not have to worry about being distracted, but now...well...now she wasn't so sure about if she would be able to function as her normal self. She really hoped that he would never be around when she was fighting or she was completely and utterly doomed for the rest of her existence.
It wasn't long before he joined her on the beach towel. She smiled happily before she saw him cover his ears. She blinked rapidly and looked closely at him. "Harold?" She asked calmly as she disregarded her ice cream for the moment. She wondered what was wrong. She had no idea, but it seemed that his hand touched hers and he seemed to relax. She couldn't help but smile and blush a little before she moved so her hand was holding his. She looked at him, her face turning a little concerned. "Are you okay, Harry?" She asked, giving him a nickname seeing as she wasn't sure if he'd like her saying his full name. Of course, if he didn't like that nickname, she was sure that he'd tell her that and she would try giving him a new one.

Hal looked over at Snow, He could tell She was worried. He hated not being able to tell her, It was killing him inside. Before he knew it, She was holding his hand, which causes him to look down. He just sort of smiled, as His heart fluttered. He was happy, for once He finally felt what his father was trying to explain to him.
She's asks him if he's ok, and calls him harry. "A-a nickname, whoa" Hal thought to himself. He smiled as He looked at her "My sister calls me Harry, You're probably the only person I would let call me Hal...." Hal uses his free hands the rub the back of his neck, as He smiles and makes eye contact. At this point, The only thing in the world was Snow, He could literally hear the cries of those in trouble, and yet all that mattered to him was Snow.

Snow continued to look worriedly at Harold, wondering if he was all right. She hoped so. She didn't know what would happen if she had to rush him off to the hospital. That would have been a little weird seeing as she knew nothing about the boy. Sure, they'd have seen her as being a nice San Francisco citizen but at the same time, she highly doubted they wouldn't question her and ask her what she did to make him hurt. To be honest, she wasn't sure and she wouldn't know if it was something she had done or something that had just happened for some reason. These were the things that she just didn't know and couldn't control. It wasn't like she could read minds and figure out what was wrong with him or anything...although it would have been a nifty little trait to have to be completely honest. She would be able to see what he was thinking, and figure out if she had done anything to cause his...um...little...whatever it was that had happened. She wasn't sure what to call it.
After a moment, Snow finally got a response from Harold. Of course, it was only about her calling him Harry though. She blushed gently and nodded a bit. "Okay... Hal... Are you all right?" She asked him quietly as she watched him gently rub the back of his neck with his free hand. She remembered that she was holding his hand but didn't move her hand away. To be honest, she kind of...liked the way it felt to be holding his hand. Of course, immediately her brain scolded her, telling her that she should be skeptical of any one and every one. Snow knew that her brain was right but she wasn't sure if she could bring herself to really care if it was right or wrong. She liked Harold and...it seemed he liked her as well, although she wasn't sure if her family would approve or disapprove of her actions at this moment...

Hal smiles as She calls asks if He's alright " Yes, I'm perfectly fine". He can tell she's worried, and He HATED it. He wants to tell her everything, tell her about the ring, and the entity, and everything. In an odd twist of irony, though, because He cares for her, she must not know his identity. Though Hal could tell she could handle herself in any situation.
Hal actually started to enjoy the moment, He looked up at the sun, and smiled at Snow. "I am rather glad to have come to the beach today..." It would have been a fantastic day, If not for the drowning girl. Hal immediately heard the screams of a young girl far out during high tide. Hal quickly stood up, still holding her hand, "There's a girl drowning over there!", The lifeguard's look through their binocular's, and seemingly not seeing her pass it off as a prank. He looks down to Snow, "I'll...be right back" Hal didn't want to let go, but...He had too.
He quickly rushes towards the water, secretly using his ring to split the water in front of him so He can go faster before diving in and swimming after the poor girl. Hal wasn't a very good swimmer, So while underwater, He uses His ring to rush towards the girl, hoping He can get to her on time...

Snow waited to hear Harold's response to her question. She waited rather patiently...or so it seemed. In all reality, she was wondering why he wasn't responding faster. Then, he finally said that he was perfectly fine. She eyed him curiously for a moment, as if she didn't believe him before she finally nodded, accepting his answer before she relaxed and smiled at him gently. "Good... I wasn't sure if there was something wrong..." She trailed off somewhat before she turned back and smiled at him after a moment. It was then that he said that he was glad that he came to the beach today. She blushed gently and smiled at him, glad that he was enjoying himself. She had to admit that she was also enjoying herself, but, as per usual, something had to interrupt Snow's joyous afternoon. Why could nothing ever be simple?
Harold stood up quickly, not letting go of Snow's hand so she was dragged up with him. She blinked rapidly at him as he held to the lifeguard that someone was drowning out there. She looked at Harold as he told her that he'd be right back and watched as he ran off and dove into the ocean. She watched intently as he swam towards something. Snow's eyes narrowed to see where and what he was swimming towards. She then realized that it was a young girl. Her eyes widened somewhat before she looked at the lifeguard who had just (finally) gotten off of his little lifeguard stand. She rolled her eyes and watched as he ran towards the ocean and dove in to the water, swimming after Harold toward the drowning girl. Snow hoped Harold had gotten to her. She didn't want her to drown or something...plus it would really put a damper on her and Harold's day...

Hal looked around for the girl seeing Her, He dashes through the water as fast as his ring can take him, Something glimmering catches his eye and He quickly grabs it with His ring, and puts it in his pocket . He cradles the girl, "Oh Great, Now to get back to shore". Hal tried to mask the girl from water with the ring, but Green Lantern's can't imitate oxygen, not even Ion. He sees the lifeguard swimming towards him, and sigh's "Might as well let Him take credit for it". Hal creates an body forming shield around the girl and "floats her towards the life guard, as Hal swims back.
Hal makes it back to shore, looking back to see the life guard coming in. He smiles as He is able to resuscitate the girl, and walks back over to Snow. "Sorry about that, Is this any consolation?" He pulls the golden pearl from his pocket, extends his arm to offer it to her, and smiles.

Snow watched intently as Harold swam out to sea to the little girl. She grew slightly panicked as she watched, unable to help herself. It wasn't until a few moments later that she saw the lifeguard swimming towards shore with the young girl. She watched as the girl fell limply against the shore. She gasped and her hand flew to her mouth as the lifeguard fell to his knees and began to perform CPR. She watched intently with the rest of the beach goers as he continued before the young girl coughed up water and began to breathe. Snow let out a breath of relief and clapped with the rest of the crowd as she was returned safely to her silent father and sobbing mother. Of course, the mom was now crying out of relief, and the father was trying his best to keep his tears back, or at least that's what Snow could see.
Finally Snow looked around and saw Harold. She smiled at him and shook her head when he apologized and hugged him. "I'm so glad you're all right," she said before she pulled away from him and looked down at what he had pulled from his pocket. She blinked down at the pearl and her mouth dropped. "Wow..." She whispered, looking down at the gift from the ocean. "I...It's beautiful," she whispered while looking down at it. She noticed that he was offering it to her and took it. She blushed crimson as she gazed at the small orb in her hands. "Did...you find it while you were out there?" She asked while looking at him. She had completely forgotten that she had hugged him and could have possibly broken his brain.

Hal was surprised when Snow hugged him. His face went red, and his mind went blank. She says something about being glad He's alright, but Hal is in a mental state of unconsciousness. As She pulls away, It takes a moment for Hal to snap back to reality. Hal can tell Snow likes her little gift.
Hal smiles as She gazes at it. She asks him if she had found it while out there, "Yes in fact, It was quite close to me, as I was heading towards the girl..." Hal continues to smile as He watches Her look at the orb. Of course, All good things must come to an end, Hal receives a telepathic message from the Titans. Hal thinks about it for a couple of seconds, "Maybe the guys could handle it alone......er...ugh, No I must." Hal sighs as He looks towards Snow, "I must bid you adieu, I just remembered I had to work today...." Hal closes Her hands around the pearl. "Keep that, I'll try to find a chain for it, Um...."
Hal knew He was forgetting something, and remembered almost instantly.."Oh!...And Um, Here's my number" He pulls out a crumbled piece of paper, and small pen, shaking it from the water. "Here..You...Go" He hands Her the paper and smiles "We can plan out this whole date thing..." Hal receives another message, and sighs, "Well....See You..." Hal really didn't want to leave, but duty called, and He headed off....

Snow smiled at Harold when he said that he had in fact found it as he was swimming out to save the young girl. She looked up at him before his face seemed to fall. She blinked at him. He said that he had to go because he had work. Snow nodded her head, completely understanding what he meant. He then said to keep the pearl and said that he'd try to find a chain for it. She smiled at and opened her mouth to tank him again when he said that he wanted her to have his number. She blinked and watched as he pulled out a (now wet) crumpled piece of paper and pen. She smiled as he tried to shake the water off of them and then quickly wrote down his digits. She took the piece of paper and smiled at him, nodding before he said his good bye and walked off. Snow sighed softly as she plopped back down on her towel. "Bye..." Thread Finished
