It was just after work for Snow Wilson as she stepped out from the cool air of the skating rink and in to the warm San Francisco sunlight. It was a beautiful day, Snow had to admit, which was good. She was quite glad that she had decided to work the morning shift instead of the evening shift. She didn't want to miss a moment of what seemed to be absolutely perfect weather, although, in order to enjoy herself, she'd really need to go change out of her jeans and sweatshirt. She was sure she looked a bit odd to most of the citizens of San Francisco, but then again, most of them who had seen her working at Ice Planet were pretty used to it. Either way, Snow knew that she needed to get home, especially because she figured today would be an awesome day for a beach day. The sun was shining, there were hardly any clouds in the sky and to be honest, from what she could see, the ocean looked absolutely perfect and she didn't want to miss a moment of it. So, Snow looked around, pressed the crosswalk button and as soon as the little light turned to the white walking man, she started on her semi-long trek home.
The walk wasn't terribly long, but it was one way that Snow enjoyed staying in shape. Sure, it wasn't as exhilarating as a four mile run, but the walk itself was always nice, even at night but that was mostly because the night didn't exactly creep Snow out. In fact, Snow sort of loved the night almost as much as she loved, well, snow...or the cold...or any time of year, really, as odd as that sounded. Then again, Snow wasn't exactly what people would call normal, now that she thought about it, but she didn't really mind, especially as she walked up the steps to her smallish apartment, unlocked the door, and stepped inside. She shut the door and locked it before doing a quick walk through of her home. Once she decided it was safe enough, she went looking for her favorite black and orange bikini. She grinned as she found it and stripped down before pulling the adorable suit on. She grinned before applying sunscreen and gathering up all of the things she would need for the beach: towels, sunscreen, music player, water, snacks, hat, sunglasses (which she ended up putting on her head), her wallet, and her keys. She then pulled on her shorts and flip flops and headed out the door. She shut the door, locked it and was off towards the beach.
From what Snow could see as she approached the beach, there were quite a few people around. She grinned happily though, not minding in the slightest as she made her way between the groups of beach goers and cute couples who were too busy talking to each other and eying one another to really pay attention to where they were going, not that Snow minded as she weaved in and out of people. She grinned as her flip flop clad feet hit the sand and immediately began to try and find herself a spot, which would be pretty easy seeing as she was alone. After about ten minutes of looking, she finally found a spot and smiled as she set herself up, after renting a beach umbrella, which she stuck in the sand beside her towel. She put her flip fops on one corner, her beach bag on the other and her music player on the other as she sat down so her head was the only thing in the shade of the umbrella. She smiled and leaned back, closing her eyes as she hoped that no one would step on her, or kick sand on her. That would definitely put a slight damper on her day.

Hal strolled along the boardwalk, hands in pockets. He whistled a small tune as he thought to himself. He wondered about the titans, and his sister, and how he would be able to try to fit in with them. Hal covered his face with his arms, blocking out the sun, as He tried to find a place to sit. He sat down and looked around the Beach at all the passer-by's. Kyle started talking to Ion which,to the outside world, looks like he's talking to himself.
"No, I'd prefer not to swim today, Thank You."Hal looked over at the water, and everyone in bathing suit's and bikini's,and cringed. "I can have as much fun on dry land.....Call me a land lubber all you want..." Hal sat back, and continued to ponder on fitting in with the titans. Though at an instance his looked over at a girl, sunbathing on the beach. He couldn't seem to turn away, seeming almost memorized, as He is snapped back into reality by Ion. "What, No I have no idea what your talking about..."
Hal couldn't help but feel as if she looked familiar, as he tried his best to avoid looking at her anymore.

As Snow laid in the sun, soaking in the rays, she began to sort of drift off in to her own little world. She began to think about how she should probably think about going out and getting friends. She had been lonely for far too long. I mean, sure, she had a few of the kids that she taught how to skate, one on one, and a few co-workers, but they never went out and did things together. Anything that Snow did, she usually did alone, which made her often think that she needed to try and get friends and have a life outside of any training or sleep...or even just chilling that she decided to do. It was sad, but true. The young, attractive (although not in her mind) female wasn't exactly a social butterfly. Sure, she greeted people at work and smiled and made conversation, but that was just her being a good worker and person. In all reality, she wasn't quite sure how to approach other human beings. It was...a bit...difficult for her to do, strangely enough. She didn't want to insult anyone or hurt their feelings or anything when she first spoke with them, but...she supposed that even if she did, that was life.
After a moment, Snow began to feel an awkward sensation in the back of her mind. She blinked rapidly and sat up. She had the strangest feeling that someone was...watching her. Looking around a moment, Snow immediately found the culprit. She blinked a few times at him curiously. He was...around her age, she'd guess...perhaps a year older or so, not that it mattered. He seemed to be eying her for the moment, as if he wasn't sure if he could place her face. She sighed out of relief, glad that she wouldn't have to go in to Deathstroke mode in broad daylight. It wasn't in Snow's nature to just break out in to her self defensive moves, but she didn't really appreciate it when people just blatantly stared at her like. She was still a moment before she smiled at the boy kindly and waved at him a little. She the turned a bit so she was straight once again before she leaned back against her towel and sighed happily. Now she was feeling comfortable again. Perhaps today really would be a good day.

Hal tried his best to avoid looking like a stalker, especially when the female he'd been trying to familiarized seemed to turn around. Hal tried to look away quickly as if He didn't even notice her. She seemed to blink several times, before smiling and waving. Hal's eyes widened as He choked up. He cleared his throat, as several thoughts bounced around his head. "Maybe I should go over and talk to her..No! You Might look like a spaz.. But I'll look like a creep if I just continue to sit her." Hal couldn't make up his mind, Showing on his face.
Hal looked across the boardwalk, towards an "escape route" if things went bad. His sister was much better at being social than He was, a trait from their father of course. He unfortunately got his mother's shy trait, which made being a Titan quite difficult. As he swept his gaze past the girl, He couldn't think straight, which isn't very good when your a Lantern. He can hear Ion in the recess of his mind, "Shh, Not Now, If someone.....Yes, Someone in particular saw me talk to you, I'd look crazy".
Hal shoved his hands in his pockets as He contemplated what to do next.

Snow tried her best not to think about the boy who had been staring at her, but she couldn't help it. To be honest, he was a tad bit familiar to her... Perhaps she'd seen him at the ice rink. Yeah, maybe he'd gone on a date there once or brought his younger sibling to skating practice or something. Those were the only two things that Snow could think of him potentially staring at her. Unless he just thought she was pretty (which she highly doubted). Perhaps he had gone to school with her or something? Snow wasn't sure and she also wasn't sure if she'd want to find out. After all, the young female had grown up to be quiet...paranoid, some would say, but she would like to think of herself more as...prepared. After all, she would definitely rather be more safe than sorry, and her mother and grandfather would be highly disappointed in her if she'd even let anything happen to her. There was just...no way that that would ever happen though, unless Snow was distracted and it took a lot to distract the Wilson offspring.
Of course, now Snow was distracted. She was too distracted thinking about him that she hadn't even heard him approaching until it was too late. Thinking it best not to lose her cool, Snow sat up and looked at the boy a moment before she removed her sunglasses from her eyes and placed them on her head. Her eyes were shaded by the umbrella she sat under. "Hello...can I help you?" She asked, a smile on her lips as she looked up at him, her dimples sinking in her cheeks slightly. He seemed rather...awkward in a way, the poor lad. Of course, Snow couldn't say much. She was pretty awkward too. She hoped what she had asked didn't come off as rude or anything. She damned her poor social skills and then brushed some of her hair out of her face as she looked up to him. She waited patiently for an answering, figuring it could take him a while if he was painfully shy as she was. Of course, Snow didn't look all that shy, but she was.

Hal stood there, paralyzed as He heard the words "Hello.....can I help you?". He froze there for a couple of seconds blank. "SAY SOMETHING YOU IDIOT" rushed around his head as He stared at the girl. Hal felt a jolt of nerves as He mustered up a word. "Um Hi, I couldn't help but notice you from...." Hal didn't want to say from the bench across the beach, but He didn't want to lie. "Er, from over there... and, Well you seemed familiar. "
Hal didn't know what to expect. So many thoughts rushed through His head as he awaited for a response. " What if She thinks your a creep for watching her!", "Your going to mess this up, and look like an idiot!", "You think she's pretty, Don't You?" Hal gave off a smile, Trying to hide his nervousness behind it. As he rubbed the back of his neck with one hand from the heat, He kept his ring hand in his pocket, Just in case. He stood there frozen hoping He didn't say anything wrong.

As Snow sat there waiting for the boy to respond, she had to wonder if she had been too rude to him. She really hoped not. He didn't seem like a bad kid, after all... I mean, he didn't give off the vibe that he was a racist...or...a killer or anything. He seemed rather innocent to her, strangely enough. Of course, that was just what vibe Snow was getting. More often than not though, Snow's intuition of people seemed to be right. After all, no one knew for sure if someone was good or evil, not that it really mattered to Snow. In her mind, go do whatever makes you happy so long as you don't try to bring in her on it and so long as she doesn't find you trying to be a complete and utter jerk to someone who she believes doesn't deserve it. That would definitely not be good with Snow around because, well, she wasn't afraid to kill people unlike most heroes and good guys. If Snow thought you were bad enough, she'd pull you from this world herself if she had to. Not that anyone would really mind, I mean, let's be honest.
Then the boy spoke, making Snow grin a little more. He told her that he had noticed her from across the way and felt that she was familiar to him. She nodded her head gently. "Well...that depends. Have you gone to the ice rink anytime in the past like...two years or so?" She asked him after a moment, blinking at him curiously as she waited for him to answer. She then remembered that there were probably multiple ice skating rinks around here and decided to clarify, blushing gently while telling him what address she worked at so he knew better where she was talking about. She had to giggle to herself a bit as she noticed him rubbing the back of his neck nervously. Reading people was a good thing in the Wilson house hold, but sometimes it just made Snow giggle a bit when she knew someone felt awkward...like now.

Hal couldn't help but smile as he looked at her. He didn't want to say it out loud , but she was quite ravishing. He was a bit mystified by her beauty. He heard her bring up an Ice Rink, and quickly snaps himself out of a trance to answer her. "Um, I believe so..."
Hal continued smiling, as he tried to think back. He did remember going to an ice rink with Elizabeth, when He first came to San Francisco. Hal could hint at a little giggle coming from the girl, and He quickly shoved his hand into his pocket, and chuckled a little. He could feel Ion's presence alert him to keep his guards up, but while He was around her, Hal seemed to keep all of his guards down. Hal continued to smile as He awaited for a response.

Snow looked at the young man as he smiled at her. She couldn't help but smile a little more before he said that he had believed he'd been to the ice skating rink. Snow nodded her head somewhat. "Then that's where you've seen me. I work there," she clarified. She figured she should probably tell the poor boy that she worked there. Not that it really mattered. Even if she didn't work there she would be there constantly, almost all of the time seeing as she loved the cold and she loved the snow (no pun intended). She was extremely well accustomed to the cold for living in San Francisco, actually. Some people actually saw it as kind of weird that she didn't always have to wear a coat or anything, but she loved wearing a t-shirt, plus she usually got all sweaty skating around on the ice in the first place, which wasn't always flattering, especially when boys like this one came around the rink. Snow liked to look nice.
The boy didn't say much else as Snow sat there and he stood there. She began to wonder if she should introduce herself or something. Although, Snow did notice that when she giggled he stuffed his hand that was on the back of his neck back into the pocket of his shorts, making her giggle a little more. He was a cute, shy little thing, which said something seeing as Snow was kind of shy too. After a moment, she decided to break their silence and introduce herself. "Well, my name is Snow," she said before she stood up and offered her hand for him to shake. It was then that she noticed that he was about a head taller than she was. She had to look up at him to see his face or she'd be looking directly into his throat. She smiled at him kindly, hoping he'd introduce himself to her. She was sort of intrigued as to what his name was. Perhaps it was just as interesting as his personality...or whatever personality she'd seen so far.

Hal gradually eased up the more He stood there. For some reason He seemed to let his guard down around Her, which He has never seemed to do, Not even with his Sister. She told him she worked at the "Ice Planet", and He listened intently. He could tell She giggled a bit at his nervous blunder, but at this point He seemed to be warmed by it (Ironic considering her name). She stood up and stated her name "Snow" , and extended her hand.
Hal just looked at Her, now standing, and seemed to once again get lost. A battle went on in his head "Snap out of you, Fool!". Hal mentally shook himself awake, and extended his hand, "My Hal is name...Er, My name is Harold." Hal felt like an idiot scrambling his words like that. He was so distracted by the girl, That He had extended his ring hand on accident. Hal didn't want to make any sudden jolt's in hope that She didn't notice. Usually Hal would just pass it off as being a fan, but for some reason, She was different. He didn't want to lie to her.

The smile on Snow's face didn't fade, only brightened slightly as the nervous boy looked at her. He seemed to just...stare at her once again. She blinked rapidly as she waited for him to introduce himself, but he seemed to go off in to a daze. She kept the smile on her face as she wondered if he was okay. Perhaps she should have waited for him to introduce himself before she did... She wasn't quite sure how this introducing thing went since usually Snow was the one to introduce herself first when she worked at the rink. There was no doubt in Snow's mind that she could have messed up this whole introduction thing, but she hoped she was wrong and that he was jut distracted. Who knew. Perhaps the guy before her had a condition or something, not that Snow's opinion of him would change or anything, but it was definitely a possibility. Or he could have just been really...really shy. More shy than Snow, obviously. Perhaps Snow wasn't as shy as she originally thought...
When the boy finally spoke, Snow couldn't help but giggle as he got his words mixed up. Snow shook his hand with her usual firm grip, but not too firm as to make him drop to his knees. Her grandfather had always told her that if she had a strong grip, people would know she wasn't some delicate little snowflake for them to watch melt in the palm of their hands. He was right, of course, and Snow knew that, but at this point in her life it was habitual and she did it without thinking. Of course, something green caught her eye after she let go of his hand and her eyes snapped down to it, wondering what it was. She blinked rapidly as she saw that it was a Green Lantern ring...or at least it looked like one. She looked back at up Harold and smiled. "Nice to meet you, Harold...and nice ring," she said before she tucked some of her hair behind her ear.

Hal smiled normally as He shook her hand, She had a firm grip which He respected. He heard a giggle from his verbal flub up, and hoped He didn't look like a complete idiot. He could notice her eyes trailing for the ring, and his heart nearly stopped. He didn't know what to do, He wanted to tell her, but He didn't want to give his identity away, and put Her in danger. So many thoughts rushed to his head when He heard "....and nice ring."
He started to panic, as He had conflicting thoughts. "What do you tell Her that your a Green Lantern, and more specifically the bearer of a SPACE WHALE.....How do you think she'll react to that." "But I don't want to lie to her." "Think of something!" In a sudden jolt of panic Hal utters the word's "Um, Would you like to maybe......go out sometime?" ,His cheeks going slightly red. He mentally hits his forehead with his palm. " What was that!?" "I Panicked!" Hal just stood there, with a look of doubt, and hope on his face.
Hal didn't know what to think, They had just met and because She saw a ring, HE ASKED HER OUT!. He knew He would have to bring up the ring, sooner or later, So why did He make such a rash move. Usually He was so level headed, but something about this girl, Snow, made Hal act irrationally.

Snow smiled at Harold, still, unable to help herself. He seemed like a nice guy, after all. Of course, what shocked her most was probably what came out of his mouth when she complimented his ring. She heard him ask her if she would like to maybe go out sometime. She blinked rapidly at him. He wanted to go out with her? Like...on a date? A date date? Snow was sort of confused. She wasn't really sure how to respond. No one had ever asked her out on a date before. Well...she had been asked a few times, but nothing extensive and nothing so...sudden. To be honest, she wondered if he had even meant to do it. After all, the two of them had just met and he was really shy...but then again, maybe it was because he was shy that he blurted out the question. Snow wasn't sure, but she was...sure enough that she would probably like to go on a date with the young man before her... Hopefully it wouldn't be too awkward.
Of course, it was then that Snow realized that it was probably awkward right now seeing as she hadn't answered him and probably had an interesting combination of looks on her face. She blinked rapidly and blushed a bit before smiling at him. "Sorry, um... Sure," she said with a soft smile as she looked up at him. She had to admit, she was a little shocked at herself. Usually Snow never went on dates, especially with people who she had just met but...well...Harold seemed nice enough and she needed to at least make new friends if nothing else so...why not? Plus...he was really sweet...and if he did try anything she could still kick his ass until he was coughing out his armpit and eating through his nose... She then pushed that thought away from her mind and continued to smile at him.

Hal had moth's in his stomach, as He awaited for a reply. He did just abruptly ask an odd question out of nowhere. Truthfully though, He kind of hoped She would say Yes. Even though the main focus should have been hiding the ring better, Hal didn't really seem to care, and at this point all He could think about was Her. Her name was Snow, which was ironic...as it seems She warmed his heart.
"Sorry, um... Sure," she replied, Hal jumped for joy in his head, but didn't realize He actually blurted out "Yes!". He quickly looked down towards Her and smiled, "Er S-Sorry about that, I really shouldn't say this but...I've never really gone on a date before....". He wasn't lying, Hal was never really interested in romance. Whenever He felt like He'd like someone the instant He thought about rejection He turned away, but with "Snow", He seemed to be entranced by her. Every time She smiled, He felt a great sense of comfort, Every time She giggled, He couldn't help but smile.
It was odd, She was just someone on the Beach, He saw at the Rink, What made such an impact on Him?. He didn't care all He could really think about was what She was going to say next

S [/size] now smiled at Harold, unable to help herself. She giggled quite a bit as she saw his reaction to her agreement to his invitation to go on a date. It was cute that he had cheered "yes!" or at least that's what Snow thought. She especially thought so as he apologized and then said that he shouldn't say it, but he'd never gone on a date before. Snow smiled at him and gently put her hand on his arm. "It's okay. I've been on a few but they were...really horrible...like really horrible. I'm sure whatever you think of will be a lot better than those," she said, before shivering at the thought of those few past dates that just...didn't end well. Of course, one of them ended with her date in the hospital, but she told him not to go messing with people's things. If she hadn't have been there he'd have probably been dead, which doesn't say much considering he wasn't that...appealing of a man, but he seemed good enough for Snow. Obviously she had to rethink her standards after that one...Then Snow realized that her hand was still on his shoulder and removed it, blushing gently before she looked out at the ocean. Sure, there were surfers out there and whatnot, but Snow was looking past them at the deepest part of the ocean that she could see. It was beautiful, extremely beautiful. Snow's eyes moved from the ocean and back to Harold. Not a lot of time seemed to have gone by so she could only assume she had been looking for only a minute or two, but she smiled at Harold nonetheless, trying to ignore his ring, but it seemed so...familiar. It was the strangest thing and Snow continued to ignore her want/need to examine it to figure out exactly what it was and why it was so familiar to her. Of course, she should probably have to find a way to do so without him there...otherwise she'd be kind of creepy...or so she assumed, anyway. "So, what are you doing here?" She asked before motioning to his clothes. "You don't look like you were originally coming to the beach," she said with a smile.[/blockquote]
