In the year 2020, the world was at war as humans sent out their armed forces against the mutant threat that had plagued them for so long. The heroes had joined forces to fend them off and preserve their way of life and the peace that they so longed for but to no avail as countless lives were lost in the struggle. There seemed to be no end in sight as slowly friend turned against friend and brother against brother.
In a fit of desperation, one man heroically tried to turn the tides by reversing time back to the beginning before the war had begun in hopes that with what they’d learned from this outcome they could change it and make the world a safe and peaceful place to live. But something happened during his attempts and instead of reverting back to before war was declared, they all found themselves back in the year 2004 where all of this had begun. Where all of the hatred and fear had started in the first place. The mistake had landed them in the time where the Registration Bill was just being put on the docket and be voted in. Where the Mutant Retrieval Division has just been activated and has orders to capture or kill. Those that cannot be destroyed they feel should be locked away in Ravenwood Penitentiary where they cannot escape. Other forces wish to study them and see if they can harness their powers to use for their very own and the Friends of Humanity are still pulling the government’s strings.
A time when the Legacy Virus had just begun to spread and mutate into three separate illnesses, each just as deadly as the last. Many of our heroes found that they had been reverted back to their younger years as well and in a world where they would soon collide with other superheroes and villains that they’d never seen before and new threats that they would all face. There is only one respite for mutants and super powered beings who are now being hunted by the MRD and that is the city of Las Vegas where people like them can live in peace. The cities therein are protected by the MTLE, a police force which serves to protect their citizens from these evil foes. The epic battle has begun for not only supremacy but for the right to live in peace and be accepted; the right to live in the same cities as the humans and not have to register as a super being. Which side will you choose? Will you fight alongside the X-Men and the superheroes of the earth to keep your freedom or will you join the villains of the world and destroy it all? Make your choice.
